Overview

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit franchise is a high-profile, multi-platform media property that extends far beyond a single annual issue. In addition to print and photography, the brand delivers daily digital editorial (Swim Daily), immersive photo and video galleries, and coordinated releases aligned with live television and broadcast programming.

As Program Manager, I led digital delivery and cross-platform coordination at Turner, ensuring that web, mobile, editorial, and broadcast efforts launched seamlessly and on schedule across fixed, high-visibility release windows.

Business Objective

  • Support the annual SI Swimsuit launch with reliable, high-impact digital experiences
  • Enable Swim Daily as a consistent, year-round editorial stream

This program combined editorial publishing, live broadcast coordination, and large-scale digital delivery, with constraints including:

My Role & Responsibilities

As Program Manager, I was responsible for orchestrating digital execution across platforms, including:

  • Leading cross-functional teams across engineering, product, design, QA, editorial, and broadcast partners
  • Coordinating digital release schedules with live TV programming and promotional timelines
  • Ensuring CMS workflows supported daily publishing, galleries, and video content
  • Managing dependencies between content readiness, platform features, and broadcast timing
  • Driving launch readiness, risk mitigation, and post-release stabilization

1. Cross-Platform Planning

  • Built and maintained integrated release plans aligning digital drops with TV broadcasts and marketing beats
  • Facilitated alignment between Turner digital teams and SI editorial leadership

2. Editorial & Asset Pipeline Enablement

  • Ensured editorial teams could publish Swim Daily content efficiently and consistently

3. Live TV & Digital Synchronization

  • Coordinated go-live timing for web and mobile experiences alongside live or scheduled television moments

4. Performance & Risk Management
